History:
Launched in 2011, Disney Dream was the third ship in Disney Cruise Line’s fleet and marked a major expansion in size and capacity. Built by Meyer Werft in Germany, the ship measures approximately 130,000 gross tons, is 340 meters long, and can carry around 4,000 passengers and 1,450 crew members. Its design blends early 20th-century ocean liner elegance with whimsical Disney flair.
One of Dream’s most iconic features is the AquaDuck, the first water coaster at sea, which offers thrilling views as it loops around the ship’s upper decks. Inside, Disney Dream offers rotational dining experiences in elaborately themed restaurants such as Animator’s Palate, Enchanted Garden, and Royal Palace. Entertainment includes Broadway-style productions like Beauty and the Beast and The Golden Mickeys, along with Disney’s signature fireworks at sea.
Youth clubs onboard are themed around Star Wars, Marvel, and classic Disney characters, while adults enjoy exclusive areas such as the Quiet Cove Pool and the European-style Senses Spa. Disney Dream typically sails 3- to 5-night cruises to the Bahamas, including stops at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.
